Information age offers new challenge and opportunity for librarians, librarians are a necessity of information age. Disciplinary librarian system is a new working modern and service system. This text discusses the necessity and emergency of its appearance, interprets disciplinary librarian＇s duty and role , analyses the quality that disciplinary librarian must have.
