随着中国改革开放的不断深入与市场经济的逐步建立,各行业竞争力度加大,从而有力地推动了中国的现代化建设和社会的发展,同时也促进了人们思想观念的更新和生活方式的改变。中国的教育如何适应中国社会的需要;作为学校教育重要组成部分的学校体育如何适应中国社会发展的需要;这是摆在我们广大学校体育工作者面前的一项重要课题。为此,必须首先了解中国社会的发展对学校体育提出了哪些新的要求;学校体育的主体———学生的体育需求发生了哪些变化.

China＇ s open and reform policy and the gradual establishment of market economy in china have forcefully pushed forward the modernization and development of china and promoted changes in people＇s ideas and ways of life. How should china＇s education be keyed to the society＇s requirements？ How should physical education, as an important part of school education, be keyed to the development？ This is a important research project faced by all physical education teachers. Hence ti is necessary to have knowledge of what new requirements the society＇s development has made upon school physical education and of what changes have oecured in students needs.
