"Innovation" in Reference to "Source Point" ——Development of Marxism in China

中国社会主义建设的实践不仅离不开马克思主义的指导,而且还要突出时代特点,进而不断促进马克思主义在中国的新发展,最终建立起中国化的马克思主义科学体系。在理论和实践的相互作用中发展马克思主义,就必须处理好“返本”与“开新”的关系。“返本”不是简单地回到马克思主义的经典文本之中,文本的意义不能离开解读者而单独存在,因此必然受到与解读者相关的各种传统的影响,又会与时代的发展和变迁相联系,而“创新”必然是在我们与这些传统的反复深入的交流与对话中展开。

Practice of socialism building in China will not only depend on Marxist guidance, but also needs to put the features of time in focus in order to realize new development of Marxism in China, and finally set up scientific Marxist system with Chinese characteristics. To develop Marxism in the interactive process of theory and practice requires us to cope with in an appropriate way the relation of ＂tracing back to the source point＂ with ＂innovation＂. The so-called ＂tracing back to the source point＂ does not mean simply returning to Marxist classical texts. In fact, meaning of the text cannot exist in separation from the interpreters, and will be limited with various traditions related to the interpreters. It is also in a close relation with the development and change of time. On the other hand, ＂innovation＂ will be developed in our communication or dialogue in depth with such traditions.
