《红楼梦》中时序“矛盾”研究述论

On the “Illogicality” of Time in The Dreams of the Red Chamber

前人对《红楼梦》时序“矛盾”的看法并没有系统,而是散见于各人的评点、论述之中,归纳起来,可大致分为两个阶段:一是20世纪60年代以前,从清人开始,几乎一致认为时序“矛盾”是作者疏忽、失误而造成的;二是20世纪六七十年代以来,随着对《红楼梦》成书过程的研究,研究者将之看成是成书过程中修改、增删未尽的结果。这两个阶段实际也代表了两种研究类型,但不论哪一种,都可归结为“无意”说,而“有意”说还一直未受到应有的重视。

There were no systematic researches on the ＂illogicality＂ of time in the Dreams of Red Chamber. Since they only scattered here and there, they can be roughly divided into phases： firstly, before the 1960s. Ever since the Qing Dynasty almost all researchers thought ＂illogicality＂ of time was resulted from the writer＇s neglect and mistakes; secondly since the 1960s and 1970s. With the deepening of the research on the writing of the Dreams of the Red Chamber, researchers consider it the result of constant correction, additions and deletions. In fact they represent two research types： no matter which one they are categorized into, each of them can be classified into the theory ＂with intent＂. But the theory of＂without intent＂ has not received its deserved attention.
