20世纪后半叶,我国篮球运动不断发展壮大,并逐渐加大了国际化交流与合作。竞技篮球运动蓬勃发展,带动了大众篮球运动迅速扩大。世界范围内的报刊、广播、电视等快速普及,新兴电子技术在有线电视、卫星电视、计算机互联网中广泛应用,极大地促进了篮球运动文化传播体系的发展完善。政治民主化、经济全球化、信息现代化、文化多元化发展的趋势,不断改变着篮球文化内涵,使之成为推动社会和谐进步、人的全面发展的不容忽视的力量,并具有巨大的教育潜力。在大众传媒外部环境不断变化影响下,深入对我国篮球文化特征与其教育功能进行研究也具有了鲜明的时代意义。本文通过在大众传媒视角下的篮球运动的特征的分析,进而确定了其独特的价值,从而为进一步发挥其教育价值,促进社会繁荣发展起到更大作用。

Basketball in China has achieved progress and gradually increased to communicate and cooperate with the world from the later of 20 century. Basketball becomes rapidly popular with its flourishing development. Under the rapidly popularity of paper, broadcast and TV in the world and the broad application of Electronic technology such as Cable TV, Satellite TV, internet and so on, the communication system of basketball culture becomes rapidly developing and perfeet. T he meaning of basketball culture unceasingly changes under the tide of political democratization, economic globalization, information modernization and culture diversification, which becomes the important force on promoting social harmoniousness and comprehensive development of man and possesses huge educational potential. It has vivid era - significance to deeply research characters and educational function of Chinese basketball culture. T he paper analyzes the basketball characters with the perspective of the mass media and then confirms the unique value of basketball, which highlights the basketball education value so as to play a greater role in promoting social prosperity and development.
