Constructing a Harmonious Society: the Sacred Mission of Sociology

中国社会学会2005年学术年会暨第6届理事会于2005年10月11日至13日在安徽合肥举行。本次会议由中国社会学会主办,安徽省社会学会承办。会议围绕“和谐社会构建———社会学的神圣使命”这一重大课题,就和谐社会的现代意义、社会结构、社会安全、社会公平、社会保障、社会政策等专题展开了热烈讨论。

A conjoint meeting of the 2005 annual conference of the Chinese Sociology Society and the 6th council was held from Oct. 11th to 13th in Hefei, Anhui. This meeting was hosted by the Chinese Sociology Society and organized by Anhui Provincial Sociology Society. It focuses on ＂Constructing a harmonious society： the sacred mission of sociology＂, and discussions were made on such topics as the modem significance of harmonious society, social structure, social safety, social fairness, social security, and social policy.
