已故著名学者吴孟复先生毕业于无锡国专,治学之余创作旧体诗,合学人之诗与诗人之诗为一手。吴先生诗典雅而能通俗,理论与创作实践密切结合;风格兼融唐宋特点,和雅清新。诗中表现知识人士爱国情怀与真纯品格,堪为后学之楷模。

Mister Wu Mengfu graduated from Wuxi National Academy College, was fond of writing oldstyle poems in which he combined the writing techniques of scholars and poets. The poems by Mister Wu are both elegant and popular, in the style of a combination of Tang and Song poems, which are fresh and delicate. In his poems, Mister Wu combined theory closely with practice, and expressed his patriotism and sincerity as an intellectual, sets a good example for younger generation.
