The idea of John Dewey＇s ＂democratic community＂ is the core of Dewey＇s political philosophy system. As far as logic and historic methods are concerned, there are four factors that shape John Dewey＇s idea of ＂democratic community＂： Hegel＇s idea of absolute spirit and dialectics, Christian tradition of Heaven, social evo- lution and modem psychobiology, and political and cultural tradition of America.
