In this paper,the meshless method is applied to the steady 2-D heat conduction by choosing proper weight functions and basis functions. The functional of steady 2-D heat conduction is constructed, and the process of it＇s modified variation principle is derived. The corresponding computer programme is developed. The result shows that this method has advantage of high stability and accuracy.
