摘要 The inactivation of Cyclops with currently available oxidants such as chlorine, chlorine dioxide, ozone and potassium permanganate was investigated and reported under various working conditions of different oxidant dosage, organic substance content and pH value. The removal efficiency of Cyclops by predosing chlorine dioxide in water treatment process was comprehensively compared with that of the conventional prechlorination process. The results showed that chlorine dioxide might be most effective to inactivate Cyclops than other oxidants and its effect was less influenced by external conditions. Cyclops could be effectively inactivated by chlorine dioxide preoxidation and be thoroughly removed from water by chlorine dioxide preoxidation cooperating with routine clarification process, i.e. flocculation, sedimentation and filtration.
