Harmonious society, world and ideology have run a long course in Chinese ancient econornic ideology, which has a great value of both exploration and research. The awareness of this is required by building China into a socialist country with Chinese characteristics, carrying and carrying forward the excellent Chinese tradition and our national cultural heritage. There are rich and profound harmonious elements in Chinese ancient ideologies including human- orientation, social compartmentalization, combination of righteousness and interests, generating fortunate and practicing thrift, protection of ecological resources. It is of profound significance to treat harmonious society as a developmental law.
