Thematic Magnificence and Thorough Vigor——On Vigor of Prose Poems by Sima Xiangru

司马相如是汉代最重要的辞赋家,是他将汉赋定型并推向成熟。他的辞赋最让人称道的是其磅礴的气势。这种气势,既是汉帝国初期蒸蒸日上的时代精神体现,又是相如天才的创造。本文试图从思想内容和艺术手法两方面对他的辞赋所展现的气势进行深入探讨。

Sima Xiangu was the most important prose poet in Han Dynasty, who finalized the prose style and pushed it to maturity, and whose prose was highly praised for its majestic imposing manner, which incarnated the flourishing spirit at the beginning of Han Empire and his creation of genius. This essay tries to conduct further research into the vigor resented in his prose from two aspects： ideological content and artistic technique.
