城市广场建设已经成为我国城市化进程中一个重要组成部分,如何结合每个城市独特的文化背景,推出具有本地文化性格的城市文化,在当前城市化建设的关键时期探讨这个问题,具有特殊的重要性。结合武汉市西北湖广场的考察情况,指出了当前武汉城市广场建设中存在的一些不足,分析了原因,并提出了解决问题的看法和建议。

Urban square construction has become one of important parts in the Chinese urbanization. It is particularly significant to explore how to combine square construction with special cultural background of each city and then establish unique urban culture in the vital period of urbanization. According to the observation in the Northwest Lake Square, the paper points out some disadvantages existing in Wuhan square construction, analyses the reason and proposes certain suggestions to solve the problem.
