This article analyzes the causes of the lower surface strength in some practical concrete projects, discusses the influence of fly ash on the concrete surface strength. Through experiments, it also proves that the addition of the high quality of fly ash cannot lower the concrete surface strength, and that the concrete control and maintenance in the construction are the important factors affecting the concrete surface strength.
