A Preliminary Study of the Background on the Greenish white Wares Provenance on Song Dynast

众所周知，在唐代瓷器手工业中，青瓷及白瓷占主导地位，其地理布局特点是“南青北白”，南方主要烧青瓷，北方以白瓷为主。到了宋代，南方许多窑场，改变了以青瓷为主导的发展方向，竞相烧造青白瓷。

9th - 10th century is an era in which white poreedain prevailed in the north of China. Under this background, Greenish white porcedain appeared in the south, when glazed porcedain spreading out south while green - glazed porcedain diffusing north became two trends in that time. As a result of the former, kilns in the south endeavored to fire white glazed porcedain on themselves. These kilns all located to the verge of traditional producing region of kilns of Yue Style. In a view of technology, the author presumes that Greenish white porcedain originally made accidentally when workmen tried to fire white porcedain in the southern kilns. According to the published data, Greenish white porcedain came into beings in the middle of 10th century.
