A monolithic 8 bit high speed digital to analog converter IC has been fabricated in Si bipolar process.It has the characteristics of high accuracy,high speed and compatibility with various logic circuits.This D/A converter is very useful in data acquisition,data processing system,CRT,wave form generator,A/D converter,servo motors,programmable power supply,audio encoder/attenuator,and high speed modems.Its principle of operation and test design are described.Some typical applications of the converter are also given.
