Based on the data from investigation, design, construction and detection of rock and soil engineering in the Quanzhou urban district, the paper presents the types and features of pile foundation applied on the construction of the Quanzhou urban district. Taking some typical items for an example, it is considered that the types of pile foundation have to choice the economic and reasonable ones on the safety.
