This paper introduces the connotations of the information grid and the library coalition, expounds the problems existing in the application of the grid technique, and probes into the functions of the library coalition in the application of the information grid, and points out that being as an international organization in the information grid times, the library coalition should promote the resources sharing among the libraries by using the information grid technique, improve the library＇s information service quality and ability, accelerating the information communication of the information grid and makes it more mature.
