Studies on the Flower Type Classification of Tree Peony and Peony Cultivars

根据牡丹、芍药中存在大量台阁品种的现象,作者进一步论述了牡丹、芍药品种花型演化的规律,确定了各花型在演化过程中的地位,以此为依据,提出了牡丹、芍药品种花型分类的新方案,并对该方案的应用作了说明。

According to the differences of the original species among tree peony and peony cultivars,and the regular pattern of their flower form evolution,the authors propose a complete new plan of flower form classification On the basis of these differences in the original species the cultivars of tree peony may be divided into 4 series.Ⅰ.series suffruticosa,Ⅱ.series papaveracea,Ⅲ.seires lutea,Ⅳ seires delavayi; and the cultivars of peony 2 series.Ⅰ.series lactiflora,Ⅱ.seires Europa.
