钱三强在我国发展原子能事业中做出了杰出贡献。特别是新中国成立后,钱三强为发展我国的原子能事业满腔热情,努力工作,勇于创新。他除了结合自身专业参加具体的理论研究与技术研究外,还从战略决策与推动、工程组织与管理、人才的发现与培养等方面提出建议并奔走呼号,一心一意地为我国能在世界国防高科技领域占有一席之地埋头苦干和出谋划策。在中国原子能事业开创50周年之际,探讨原子能事业的开创者钱三强的功业,是一个有意义的课题。

Qian San-qiang has made brilliant contribution to our country's “atomic bomb project”. Qian has full of enthusiasm to develop our country's atomic energy enterprise, works diligently and dares to innovate, especially after New China was established. Besides unifying his speciality to participate in concrete fundamental research and engineering research, he also made suggestions from strategic decision and impetus, project organization and management to talented persons' discovery and training. He exerted wholeheartedly in order to obtain status for our country in the high-tech domain.
