克里米亚战争是十九世纪奥地利外交上的一个转折点。战争中奥地利看似成功的外交却导致了奥地利国际地位的迅速衰落:奥地利失去了俄国这个忠实盟友,又没有争取到英法的支持,还给了撒丁和普鲁士改变欧洲版图的机会。这导致了奥地利在欧洲的孤立,最终沦为一个二流国家。

Crimean war is one of the turning points of diplomacy of Austria in 19th century. The diplomacy of Austria in the war, however, seemed to be successful but actually led to the sudden decline of the Austria. Austria lost the support of Russia, but did not win that of Britain and French, at the same time, it provided a opportunity for Sardinia and Prussia to change the territory of Europe. All these contributed to the diplomacy isolation of Austria in the Europe, which finally made Austria a second class power.
