On Zhu Xiang's Poetical Thought

朱湘的诗充满着深厚的爱国精神和民族意识,同时又特别讲究诗情、诗意、诗形、诗韵,注重诗的音乐的美。他的诗学思想与他的诗歌创作的美学追求是相谐和的,其诗学观是以爱国思想、民族意识为主导的。在朱湘看来,作为真正的诗人,要在对自然、人生的歌咏中,显现诗人的内在的本真情感,而这本真情感的显现又必须在诗形上符合“诗的真理即是美”的审美标准,因而关注人生社会、亲近自我情感、注重艺术美就成了朱湘诗学思想的主体。

Zhu Xiang＇s poems are full of patriotic spirit and ethnologic consciousness, and at the same time, he emphasizes the emotions, meanings, configuration and rhythm of poems, and especially the musical character of poems. His poetical thought corresponds to his aesthetic taste in poetic writings, and the patriotic spirit and ethnologic consciousness are the dominant factors among his poetic ideas. He believes that to be a real poet means to manifest his true irmer emotions while singing nature and life, and the manifestation of inner emotions should be in accordance with the aesthetic standard, which is called ＂the truth of poems is beauty＂. Therefore Zhu Xiang＇s poetical thought mainly consists of three parts, i.e. attention to the life and society, approaching to his own emotions. and emphasizing artistic beauty.
