A Brief Review of Virtual Reality Technology and Virtual Agriculture

在21世纪,信息农业将成为农业领域的研究前沿,农业信息技术尤其是多媒体技术和虚拟现实技术在农业领域及实现农业现代化的过程中将扮演着重要角色。随着计算机技术的飞速发展和虚拟现实技术的广泛兴起,虚拟现实技术的应用及虚拟农业研究已取得一定的进展。根据相关文献资料,概述了虚拟现实技术和虚拟农业的概念、技术体系、结构组成、国内外研究概况及其在现代农业中的应用前景,指出信息技术的应用是农业现代化的客观要求和发展趋势,虚拟农业是计算机技术农业应用的更高境界,应加快计算机技术的农业应用,开展虚拟农业研究,构建农业知识创新体系,从而推进我国的农业现代化进程。

Informational agriculture will be the research frontier of the agriculture fields in 21st century. Agricultural information technology, especially multi media technology and virtual reality technology, will act the important roles in agricultural modernization and realm. As the rapid development in computer technology and virtual reality technology, the application of virtual reality technology in agriculture fields and virtual agriculture has achieved great progress. This paper summarizes virtual reality technology and the conception of virtual agriculture, its technology system and structure composition, and research progress at home and abroad and it＇s application prospect in modern agriculture on the basis of plentiful relevant references and also illustrates that the application of information technology is the objective requisition and development tendency, and virtual agriculture is the higher degree of computer technique. The process of agricultural modernization can be advanced by speeding up agricultural application of computer technique, developing research of virtual agriculture and constructing the innovation system of agricultural knowledge in our country.
