摘要
磁流变液是一种新型智能材料,其屈服强度在外加磁场作用下可以在毫秒量级内发生变化,利用磁流变液剪切应力可以进行动力的传递。本文在理论上探讨了盘式磁流变液制动器的制动机理,并探讨了制动器设计中应注意的若干技术问题,导出了设计计算公式,为盘式磁流变制动器的设计奠定了理论基础。
Magnetorheological (MR) fluids are new intelligent materials that respond to an imposed magnetic field with a change in their yield stress. It can be employed to transmit torque by the shear stress of MR fluids. The design method of the disc-shaped magnetorheological brake was investigated theoretically. A Bingham model was used to characterize the constitutive behavior of MR fluids subject to an external magnetic field. The expressions of the torque within the brake was derived to provide the theoretical foundation in the discal design of the brake, Based on this equation, the calculations of the radius of the disc, the thickness and volume of MR fluids within the MRF brake were yielded. Some technical problems should be paid attention in design of MRF brake, such as the properties of MR fluids, magnetic circuit design, the temperature control of MRF in the gap etc were discussed.
