标致雪铁龙公司与福特汽车公司在签订共同生产柴油发动机协议七年之际，已开始着手第四期（最后一期）的合作：这两家公司将共同生产一种适用千轻型及中型商用车的2．2升柴油发动机。同时双方公司高级汽车也将采用一个独立的2．2升发动机（参阅特别报导，第44页）。
Just over seven years since signing an agreement to produce diesel engines jointly, PSA Peugeot Citroen and Ford have started the fourth and final phase of their co-operation.Together the firms will manufacture a new family of 2.2-litre diesel engines for light and medium commercial vehicles. A separate 2.2-litre engine will also go into the two firms＇ executive-class cars （See feature, page 44）.
