中心商业区的区位变更——美国田纳西州约翰逊市实例研究

Relocation of the Central Business District——A Case Study of Johnson City Tennessee U.S.A.

本文研究的目的在于论证中心商业区的区位是否会有空间上大幅度跳跃式的变更形式。这里选择了美国田纳西州约翰逊市为研究实例,就该市两个主要商业区的中心商业职能的活动水平、交通流量的特征、全市范围内的商务中心的空间跃移以及各类中心商业职能围绕其中心的聚集程度等诸方面做了定量性分析比较。结果证明,该市的中心商业区确已跃移至北城地区,而原有的中心商业区则已蜕变为一个辅助性的商业区。

The purpose of this study is to ascertain whether the relocation, the sp-atial movement in great leap, of the Central Business District(CBD)existsor not. As a case study, Johnson City, Tennessee is chosen. Between the twomain business districts of the city. quantitative comparison and analysis aremade in the significance of the central business functional activities, thecharacteristics of traffic flows, the geographic shift of the commercial cen-ter of the city as a whole, and the aggregative degree of the central busin-ess functions around their respective centers. The aforementioned investig-ations and analyses explicitly indicate that the CBD in Johnson City, Ten-nessee, has been relocated from the downtown area to North Johnson Cityand that downtown Johnson City has become a secondary business district.
