SHANGHAIShanghai is a city of vibrancy probably no other cities can compete in the amount of attention it gets in recentyears. Surprisingly it had been a latecomer. When Deng Xiaoping opened up China in 1980s, he first set his eyes on Shenzhen. In the early 1990s when Shanghai was put on agenda, Deng regretted that this had not been done earlier. But Shanghai seemed to have more than made up for the lost time：
