The Model of Covenant in Christian Social Ethics

在“社会契约”模式全面影响西方社会公共伦理话语的同时,不少基督教伦理学家认为,基于基督教传统的“信约模式”可以为基督教介入社会公共生活提供独特的角度。它能提供与传统有机体模式不同的社会观,比一般的社会契约论更突出立约的超越性和无限性,强调公共生活的道德原则。尽管面临种种挑战,这种重视主动建构、超越维度的信约模式,有助于人们在相互性中建立稳定可靠的制度性关系。

＂Social contract＂ model has been one of the deep symbol of western ethics discourse, now many Christian ethical scholars suggest, Christian model of covenant can offer a special horizon for Christianity to take part in public life. This model is different to the traditional organic model, and it emphasizes the transcend and infinite, underlines the moral prineiple of public life. This model faces diverse challenges, but we still think it is helpful to construct a steady relationship between persons.
