高启死因是高启研究的一个热门话题。近来,有学者认为高启死于明初文官与武将、淮西集团与浙东集团的权势之争。其实党派之争只是魏观案的诱发因素,不是导致魏观等人罹难的决定因素。高启寓京期间,对朱元璋专制统治的抨击和反抗,才是他无辜遭牵连,最终被杀害的根本原因。
