On Definition of Two Cultures in Philosophical Sense

文化可以分为科学文化和人文文化两大领域,两种文化的割裂与制衡,是人类文明史上一条醒目的轨迹;近年来对两种文化的探讨多集中在有关两种文化的关系及冲突与融合等问题上。本文将对两种文化的哲学界定做一个简要的梳理,并对这些界定原则作出综合分析。

Culture can be resolved into two fields which are scientific culture and humanistic culture. The seperation and balance of these two cultures is a striking trace in the history of human civilization;in recent years,the exploration of the two cultures are mostly focused on such issues as the relationship, the conflict and fusion between them. This article aims to sort out simply the definitions about the two cultures in philosophical sense and make a comprehensive analysis about the principles of the definitions.
