当代美国银行业市场中的外资银行发展分析

国际化已经成为当代银行业发展的一个重要趋势。20世纪70年代以来,由于美国在国际经济与国际金融中具有重要的地位,各国银行大量进入美国开展跨国经营,在美国银行业市场中的重要性不断提高。本文考察分析当代美国银行业市场中外资银行的总体发展、机构形式、业务经营、市场结构等经营与发展的多方面特征,以深化对当代银行业国际化经营的理解,对我国银行的跨国经营提供些许参考。

One of the major trends in current global banking is the internationalization of operations. The United States of America has played the most important role in international economy and finance after the World War Ⅱ. Because of its dominance in the world, the U.S. has attracted banks from various countries to establish cross-border operations there, and these foreign banks have evolved to be an important force in the U.S. banking market. This paper examines and analyses the overall development, institutional form, business and market structure of foreign banks in contemporary U.S. banking industry. The purpose of this study is to deepen the understanding of international operations of banks, and to draw some useful conclusions for cross-border business of Chinese banks.
