In contemporary American Black woman author Alice Walker' s novel, The Temple of My Familiar, over half of the novel is put in quotation marks and presented in dialogues. In dialogues, only the addresser speaks, and the addressee never talks. Furthermore, almost all the addressers are women, talking about themselves or woman affairs. We name this special form of conversation deviation. Compared with Walker's masterpiece, The Color pictures the change, development, equality between men and women, and the ideal world womanists have been fighting for, and states the anti-sexism theme of the novel, which is difficult to convey with normal conversations.
