The process of language learning encompasses utilization of language. In countries where English is the primary language, teachers have been encouraged to use an approach known as communicative language teaching, and practical speaking is the most important aspect for teaching English to foreigners. This article attempts to introduce five features： roles, outcomes, procedure, slip information and challenges in speaking activities. By understanding these features, teachers can improve the speaking activities they use and improve their syllabus.
