从文化内涵看英汉动物习语的喻体与翻译

The Vehicle and Translation of English and Chinese’s Animal Idioms from Cultural Connotation

语言是文化的载体,习语作为语言的精华,积淀了大量的文化因素,它犹如一面反光镜,无时不折射出博大精深、源远流长的民族文化底蕴。本文通过丰富的例证,详细阐述英汉动物习语的喻体所体现出来的不同民族文化色彩,并本着保存其文化色彩的宗旨,提出主要的翻译方法,这对汉英两大语言之间的沟通,对两大民族文化的融合具有重要的意义。

Language is the carder of culture. As the cream of language, idioms accumulate a great quantity of cultural factors. Like a reflector, it incessantly refracts profound national and cultural exact details which have a long history. Using abundant illustrations, this paper expounds different national and cultural colors showed by the vehicles of animal idioms in English and Chinese. Then it presents main translation methods aiming at preserving the animal idioms＇ cultural colors. All this has a great significance to the communication between the two languages of English and Chinese and the blending of the two national cultures.
