中共八大是中国共产党历史上的一次盛会,它对社会主义建设进行了许多开创性的有益探索。20世纪80年代,史学界对其研究取得了显著成果。20世纪90年代则在更广泛的领域对中共八大进行了更为深入具体的研究。本文将从八大的历史贡献及不足、路线中断的原因、对比史学研究三方面对其研究进行综述,并对八大研究的不足之处加以说明。

The Eight Conference of CPC was a grand assembly in CPC＇s history and made lots of valuable attempts in socialist construction. The 1980s witnessed prominent achievements in its study by historiographers and the study in the 1990s was to a more extensive,concrete and deeper extent. The paper will make a summary of its historic contributions and defects,the causes for the suspension of line and comparative historiographic studies and explain its defects.
