艺术教育是素质教育中不可缺少的重要组成部分。中国古代历来注重乐教和诗教在道德方面的重要作用。世界上许多卓有成效的大科学家,也都非常热爱和靠近艺术,他们从艺术的想象中得到了不少探索科学真理的启发。科学与艺术的发展是相通的。在科学技术突飞猛进的二十一世纪,社会需要全面发展的高素质的人才。因此在重视大学生科技素质教育的同时,更要重视大学生人文素质的提高,其中艺术教育的作用更不可忽略,它的根本任务和目标就是培养全面发展的人。

Art education is one of the important components of quality education. In China, teaching in music and poetry has always played a vital role in people＇s moral development. Besides, many great scientists both at home and abroad have showed great love for or interests in art. Imagination from art often helps them make progress in scientific research, and they realize there is a close link between the development of science and arts. In the 21st century, our society needs more all-round talented young people. So we should help our students to study scientific knowledge as well as arts and humanities because the education for all-round development is our fundamental purpose.
