陶行知与南京安徽公学

Tao Xingzhi and Nanjing Anhui Public School

1923年至1929年,陶行知担任南京安徽公学校长。他运用现代教育理念,将安徽公学办成教育设施全、师资力量强、教学质量高的中学。他提出的中学生“德性宜笃实、知识宜富实、身体宜健实”的“实”字校训和师生“共学、共事、共修养”的教育方法,在今天看来仍具有很强的现实意义。陶行知在南京安徽公学的办学思想和教育实践,是今天研究陶行知教育思想形成的不可忽视的重要内容。

From 1923 to 1929, Tao Xingzhi was the headmaster of Nanjing Anhui Public School. He managed to turn Anhui Public School into a well-equipped one with good teachers and quality instruction by applying modern educational theories. The school motto he proposed, i.e. solid in morality and behavior, rich in knowledge, strong in body, and the educational method he advocated to apply between teachers and students, i.e. study together, work together, practice together are still of realistic significance. Tao Xingzhi＇s educational theories and practice at Nanjing Anhui Public School are of great value to the current research in the formation of his educational thoughts.
