Establishment of Normal Range and Values of Blood Biochemical Measurements in Beagle Dogs

目的建立新药慢性毒性试验Beagle犬血液生化参考值。方法采用全自动生化测定仪对不同年龄、不同性别Beagle犬的血液生化值进行了测定。结果取得不同年龄、性别Beagle犬血液生化值平均值及参考值范围。部分生化指标受性别因素影响。ALP、CK有随年龄增长而降低的趋势。结论在新药慢性毒性试验中,参比参考值时应考虑到Beagle犬性别与年龄的因素。

Objective To establish normal values and ranges of blood biochemical measurements in Beagle dogs, to he used as reference values for long-term toxicity test. Methods Blood samples were taken from Beagle dogs in different age and sex. A number of blood biochemical parameters were measured with an automatic chemistry analyzer. Results Mean values and normal ranges of all data were obtained. Part of the biochemical values were influenced by sex difference. The activities of ALP and CK were weaker along with the increasing age of dogs. Conclusion In long-term toxicity test, it is necessary to pay attention to the influence of age and sex of Beagle dogs, when data obtained in an experiment are compared with their normal values and ranges.
