Historical review of the policies in American foreign language teacher education and qualification standards

摘要 本文以美国外语教师专业资格标准为主要线索,用历史分析的方法将美国外语教师教育发展的历史划分为五个时段.并就每一时段内出现的标志性事件及政策作一介绍和评论。这样,我们可以从一个国家对该问题半个多世纪研究的历史进程中,透视出外语教师教育的核心苯质以及未来的发展趋势,从而挖掘出对我国外语教师教育及专业资格标准具有前瞻性和建设性的一些结论。 The paper cuts the history of American foreign language teacher education into 5 periods, following the main clue of foreign language teacher qualification standards. And in each period, the symbolic incidents and national policies will be introduced and commented briefly. Therefore, from the historical perspective of American foreign lan- guage teacher educational policies development, it is easier to find out the core of this issue and its tendency in the future, which may be beneficial to our foreign language teacher education and qualification standards establishment.
