摘要
采用跳台实验和Y-迷宫实验,观察盐藻β-胡萝卜素对大、小鼠学习和记忆的影响。实验结果显示,盐藻β-胡萝卜素(12.5,25和50 mg.kg-1,ip)对正常小鼠的学习和记忆有明显的促进作用;对东莨菪碱,20%乙醇所引起的记忆障碍有明显的改善作用,但对亚硝酸钠所致的记忆障碍无明显作用。结果表明,盐藻β-胡萝卜素作为一种抗氧化剂,对实验动物的学习和记忆功能有明显的促进作用。
The effects of β-carotene from Dunaliella salina (β-C) at three doses (12.5, 25 and 50 mg · kg^-1 ,ip) on learning and memory in rats and mice were studied by using step-down test and Y- maze test. In step-down tests, β-C at all three tested doses had significant effects on normal mice, and could remarkably antagonize the memory impairment induced by scopolamine and 20 % alcohol, but could not antagonize the impairment induced by sodium nitrite. As the same result, β-C at three tested doses administration had significant effects on rats in Y-maze tests. These results suggested that β-C as an antioxidant could improve the ability of learning and memory in rats and mice.
