当今时代,大学的兴衰与国家、民族的兴衰密切相关,大学在国家发展中具有不可替代的重要作用。大学完整的使命价值,应体现为注重知识发现和传播与注重社会进步和改造的结合与统一,这是由大学的基本属性所决定的。为此,大学应把更多的精力放在学科建设和科学研究的责任担当上,放在培养德才兼备的学生的责任承担上,放在道德自律和文化先锋的责任承担上。

In modern times, the property and fade of the university is closely related with the fate of the nation. The university plays an inevitable important role. The complete mission value is embodied in emphasizing knowledge finding, broadcast, and also the combina- tion and unification of social progress and innovation. This is decided by the primary feature of the university. Therefore, the university should put more energy on the responsibility of subject building and scientific research ,on the nurturing of the talents, on the moral self-regulation and cultural pioneer.
