Design Features and Advantages of a New Downcoiler Installed at Hoesch Hohenlimburg,Germany

2003年,德国钢铁企业赫施-霍恩林堡公司授予西门子奥钢联合同,为其热轧厂更换原有2台地下卷取机中的1台,以满足增加带钢品种及规格的要求。新卷取机的关键部件包括夹送辊、液压设备、润滑系统以及自动化系统,设计难点在于必须适应热轧带钢品种繁多、规格范围广、质量变化大的情况。新设备仅在3周内就完成了安装和调试。

In 2003 the German steel producer Hoesch Hohenlimburg awarded VOEST-ALPINE Industrieanlag enbau （VAI） a contract for the replacement of one of the two existing downcoilers at their hot-strip mill in order to extend the range of processed strip, coil dimensions and steel grades. Key components of the new downcoiler ineluded a pinch-roll unit, hydraulic equipment and new lubrication and automation systems. This project was particularly challenging from the engineering point of view as the new downcoiler had to be designed with the capability to efficiently coil hot-rolled strip comprising a wide range of steel grades, thicknesses, widths and weights. Instal lation and start-up of the new equipment was completed within only three weeks.
