Dialogue between Translator and Dictionary

翻译的过程是一种与原文作者对话的过程,在这个过程中译者时常会遇到困难,因此要借助参考书特别是词典,对词典释义的选择也是一种对话过程。

The translating process is a sort of dialogue between the original writer and the translator, during which the translator meets difficulties now and then. In order to overcome these difficulties, the translator often consults some reference books especially dictionaries; his selection of the appropriate definitions and meanings is a kind of dialogue as well.
