The basic requirements for the auto re-switching-on device in power transmission lines, and the working principles of the protections using ＂early acceleration＂ and ＂late acceleration＂ respectively were described in tbe article. Software and hardware needed for the PLC were then designed based on an analysis of the auto re-switching-on device, thus making it possible to apply the PLC to the device in power transmission lines.
