一种简单的提高Pt/C电极电催化活性的处理方法

摘要 Pt/C电极用四氢呋喃和丙酮混合溶剂活化处理后,对乙醇氧化的电催化活性有明显提高,其主要原因是活化处理后能除去电极表面的杂质,增加了电极上Pt的活性表面。CO在活化处理后的Pt/C电极表面上的吸附强度降低。 After the Pt/C electrode is treated with a mixed solvent of tetrahydrofuran and acetone, its electrocatalytic activity for ethanol oxidation is significantly increased. The main reason is that the treatment can remove the impurities, such as the surfactant introduced during the preparation of the Pt/C electrode, change the surface structure of the electrode to a certain extent and increase the exposed surface area of Pt. In addi- tion, the treatment of the Pt/C electrode can decrease the adsorption strength of CO, the intermediate of the ethanol oxidation, and hence decrease the poisoning effect of the adsorbed CO on the Pt/C electrode. The treatment method is simple and effective, and may be used in the preparation of DMFC.
