Beginning and Ending: The Beuys Art and its Chinese Context

本文重新论述了波依斯艺术的价值,同时涉及对中国当代艺术,特别是行为艺术的评价。文章以个别的例证把波依斯讨论的语境转换到中国,在这一语境的转换中,我们将能够理解本文强调的波依斯艺术特征,而这正是我国当代艺术家需要认真面对的问题。

This paper reexamines the contemporary value of the Beuys art and meanwhile gives its appraisal on contemporary Chinese art, especially on action art. It takes individual examples to introduce the Beuys discussion into China. In this transference of contexts we will better understand the features of the Beuys art which are something that the contemporary Chinese artists should seriously take into their consideration.
