The recent advances in color and functional masterbatches for man-made fibers are reviewed. The characteristics and applifications of solution dyeing are described. Some case studies showing the effect of masterbatch design on color and properties of solution dyed fibers are examined. The differences between solution dyed PA and classic dyed PA are compared.
