Rudyard Kipling, Edward Morgan Forster and Vidiadhar Surajprasad Naipaul are three important writers of colonial and post-colonial literature. What the three cared about in their works is closely relevant to India. This essay discusses the common features the three English writers shared in their India narrations, from two aspects: the interpretations of India civilization and their muse on cultural identity.
