明中叶以后徽商遍布全国,他们注重自身完善,恪守中华传统文化优良传统,向儒士演进,成为亦贾亦儒的社会新阶层,还把徽州文化播扬于各地。晚明高官叶向高的《新安里记》就是一篇徽商的纪实文献。

After the middle period of Ming Dynasty, Hui merchants scattered all over China. Through selfperfection and observation of the excellent traditional culture, they evolved to form a new social class of merchants and scholars. They a high-rank official in the late spread Hui Culture to any place they set foot on. Record of Xin＇anli by Ye Xianggao, Ming Dynasty, was just a report of actual events about Hui merchants.
