The novel Church in the Field by Zhang Xing-jian tells a story of state grain contributed with colorful religious portraying. In the context of opening-up and reform and opening to the western, the traditional Chinese cultural heritage is suffered by working down up enprecedentelly which appears the chaos of moral standard and tensional relations of morality. The villagers of Shenchuan village deals with the conflict of the benefit between personal and country correctly to obtain the harmonious atmosphere by means of religious faith and sentimental preaching. A unavoidable contradiction is solved by the missionary spirits. Thus it shows the close relationship the religious faith and contemporary moral society.
